Radio Program “Coastal Conversations” Explores OA Action in Maine

Alongside research partners in the State of Maine, the OA Alliance, was invited to participate in “Coastal Conversations,” a radio program produced by Maine Sea Grant.

The discussion explores the last decade of community and state driven response to ocean acidification in Maine, with lessons learned for East and West coast states.

Hear from guests Ms. Jessie Turner, Secretariat for the International Alliance to Combat Ocean Acidification, and Drs. Aaron Strong and Parker Gassett on a wide-ranging dialogue that reveals the landscape of scientific and policy actions preparing for and responding to ocean and coastal acidification.

You’ll learn how new modeling and forecasting tools can help fishing communities and marine resource managers adapt to changing conditions.

Guests also explore the recent special issue publication of Coastal Management Journal, Ocean Acidification: Insights for Policy and Integrated Management.
